Meeting with the Board Member of the NBP

On 12th January 2018 representatives of fourteen bilateral Chambers of Commerce – American, British, Belgian, French, Spanish, Irish, Canadian, Dutch, German, Portuguese, Italian, Swiss, Austrian and Scandinavian had a pleasure to organise the meeting with a member of the Management Board of the National Bank of Poland – Katarzyna Zajdel-Kurowska.

Mrs. Zajdel-Kurowska presented the main thoughts of the President of the National Bank – Mr. Adam Glapiński regarding an extensive progress that Poland has achieved over the past 30 years. After the communism collapsed, the gap between Poland and Western Europe is becoming less and less visible. During the discussion participants were presented with a list of topics and issues about the past, current and future economic situation. It was highlighted that Polish economy has been one of the fastest growing in Europe. Even in hard times such as economic crisis in 2009 Poland survived as a “green spot” at the map of Europe. The meeting was a great opportunity to get to know about the NBP economic assumptions for the year 2018, the risks and challenges ahead. There was also time for the interesting questions from the floor, on which Mrs. Zajdel-Kurowska gave an exhaustive response.
